Rudolph Carl Virchow

 Rudolph Carl Virchow (1821-1902) was a German doctor, anthropologist, pathologist, prehistorian, biologist and politician, known for his advancement of public health, and referred to as “the father of modern pathology.” Here is an image of a stamp featuring a portrait of Dr. Virchow and some human skeletal specimens, designed by Hungarian illustrator János Kass (1927-2010), engraved by György Lengyel, and issued by Hungary on December 29, 1989,
